It seems my eye problems are 'anomalous' - or at least almost certainly so. All the tests have come back 'within the range of normal' and the consultant told me that three years ago she would have discharged me today but, because she now has machines that can take photos, she'd like me to return in April to have a new set of photos to see if anything has changed. If not, she'll discharge me then. In her opinion, though, there's nothing wrong and she's quite happy to send me today's photos so an optician can take a newer photo for comparison, if I don't feel I want to go back to her clinic.
It was lovely to meet good communicators in the health service!
