The snow came and went last week. One moment I was loading laundry into my washing machine and the sun was streaming in through the window, the next I couldn't see across the street for the whirling blizzard.
Despite this, however, the dogs needed walking, so off I went, muffled up in several layers of clothes, wearing a hat, gloves, scarf and boots with a dog attached to each hand. We did our usual 5km walk; how much more strenuous it is in 15cm of snow! I certainly felt as though I'd taken a good deal of exercise when I got home - and the dogs went to sleep for the rest of the day!
Today, only 4 days later, suddenly, spring is here! The sun stayed up until after 5pm and the spring flowers are making an appearance.
The only issue now is... will I need to walk twice as far every day to get the same effect as walking 5km in 15 cm of snow? My goodness, how my health has improved even to be considering that question!
