Immune systems

This winter has been strange. Normally, I catch a terrible cold, suffer a week and then recover. This year, I've had a lurking cold that's never developed properly, I mentioned this to Nurse on my last visit to the hospital. She tells me that the type of abdominal radiotherapy I had wouldn't have affected my immune system and suggested the lurking sniffle and cough is probably due to stress. Hmmm... it's a thought. It did make me feel better to realise that maybe the radiotherapy really didn't do much damage. What I've learned from this experience is that it's a good idea to ask the question rather than brood on it for months!
