Still walking

It is, I've decided, possible to get obsessed with taking regular walks! Yesterday, I thought I might have this tendency under control. I spent the morning dealing with student enquiries and reading a novel and most of the afternoon doing some online training. Since it was pouring with rain, this seemed like a sensible move - until around 4 pm, when I couldn't bear the moaning of the dogs any more, and my own feet were twitching. So, at 4.30 pm, as the clouds parted for a few minutes, we hurtled out for a brisk stroll to see the pigs and the goat down the road.

It was an "interesting" outing as the leaves falling from the trees were slippery with rain, so controlling two large dogs without sprawling in an undignified heap was a bit of an effort. However, we made it round our circuit reasonably quickly, and even picked up an admirer for the dogs. As I point out to people who squeal with enthusiasm when they see my dogs, "handsome is as handsome does", and sometimes what these two do is beyond belief!

Never mind, though - at least I can take them for walks now, even if we are heading towards becoming obsessive about it!
