A bit of a break

Goodness, is it already six days since my last entry? The last week has been very busy indeed as I prepared for the first guests to arrive at the refurbished holiday property. Every day, when I've not been doing my day job, I've spent time at cottage removing rubbish, cleaning and "dressing" rooms. The cottage was ready for occupation 30 minutes before the visitors arrived! I couldn't have done it without all the help I've had from several very kind, resourceful and skilful people.

I'm still comparing my health this year to the state I was in 12 months ago. I can't believe that I'm the same person. Today, after a week, I've woken up very tired. I thought for a moment, "This is a familiar feeling", and then I realised that this is how I felt every day for several years - with low moods added to the mix, just to make sure life was just about unbearable.

It seems to me that sometimes things happen to remind us - if we need reminding, which I don't think I do! - just how far we've come and what a long journey it's been.
