It was nice to wake up at home today, remembering that it's a year since I came back from hospital. And what a difference that year has made. I remember moving at slug's pace from my neighbour's car when she brought me home (and it was a vilely wet and windy day) and creeping upstairs to get myself into my own bed. It was so wonderful after the noise, trauma, pain and unpleasantness of the preceding week to be at home and peaceful.
It's a bit different this year - I've already put in two loads of laundry, walked the dogs, moved the garage items around for the heating engineer to service the heating boiler, thrown out all the rubbish and filled and emptied the dishwasher and put away everything that I took out of it!
Now, I'm off for another walk - just because I can!
Who would have thought I could be so energetic, despite a late night last night followed by being woken every hour or so by a scratching or muttering dog...
So, Happy 2008!
I'll be blogging again in the New Year...

Dear Lesley,
instead of sending you a private message wishing you a Happy and "radiant" New Year, I thought it would be nice to post a comment here, in your blog. You know I read it quite often whenever I want to know about you. And it usually makes me feel optimistic (as well as learn some vocabulary; you are such a good writer!!), so thanks for keeping this blog and for being so supportive and nice to in 2007. HAPPY NEW YEAR from Granada to you and all those that visit or just happen to bump into your pages.
love. isabel
