Of immune systems

I always catch a cold on planes. The day after a long haul flight, invariably, I am struck down by a sore throat and headache. The flights I've been on in the last two days were populated, as far as I could see, by people with rampant colds - indeed, it may have been a prerequisite condition for flying, there were so many of them. So, by rights, I should be snuffling, sneezing and cursing today, particularly snce my immune system is supposed to have been affected by radiotherapy. And am I? No! For the first time ever, I haven't even got a minor sniffle! The only problem I've had was a runny eye - but that was because I stuck my finger in it while applying sunblock...

Strange but true... whatever you're told about radiotherapy and its side-effects, not everyone gets all (or even any) of them. I haven't felt so well for years!
