Having been diagnosed with cancer and told I needed radiotherapy, I was unable to find much useful information about the treatment from a patient's perspective. This blog is a record of my own experience, a real description of being a cancer patient requiring radiotherapy, as well as an account of recovery and the after-effects of illness. As time goes on, my dealings with the health system in general may also be mentioned, as long as I continue to be clear of cancer.

Jetlag
Twenty-five hours, three long distance flights and two extremely long immigration queues later, and I've made it! Now, I've proved to myself that I'm ok; negotiating all those hurdles to make the journey was a trial, but I'm at my friend's house at last, making plans about how to spend the next three weeks. Right now, three weeks asleep is very attractive, but I'm sure that I'll change my mind about that once the jetlag subsides and start to do touristy, holiday things...
