Idle hands

As I recuperate - I've been told it can take up to 12 months - I've been thinking about what to do next. A lot of possibilities, but which to choose?

I know that I don't want to go back to working full time in a job I hate. I'm very happy in my current, part time role as it gives me time to do things I want to do - like guide tourists around the local area. But that doesn't give me much income. Today, I've brought together the need for more income with supplying a service for tourists. I'm not sure quite how it happened, but I seem to have bought a house that I'll let to holidaymakers. As long as no reasons (structural or legal) are found to cause me to pull out of the deal, the summer will be spent organising the updating and marketing of the property. Should be interesting - but first there's the red-tape to overcome. We'll see. Things happen when they're supposed to happen. If this one doesn't work, there'll be others.
