Today was the first time since my treatment since I've done anything that involved being in a public place in the middle of the afternoon and, thus, unable to have a quiet nap if necessary (not that I've been finding it necessary, but at least I've had the opportunity if I wanted it). I went to two concerts, and found that I had no problems at all staying awake, despite the dimmed lights and peaceful atmosphere. So, that's another hurdle over.
Now that I'm not anaemic, not only am I less tired, I can also cope with instruction manuals again (concentration is really badly affected by anaemia, though you don't realise it at the time). So, I have got to grips with using an iPod that was given to me as a birthday present; it went to the concert hall with me (I didn't really intend to use it there, but had the concert not been very good, it would have been useful...!) and accompanied me on the drive to and from the city. I can see that my walks are going to be much enhanced; in fact, I may even take more exercise as a result. Amazing how much change a lack of iron can make to your system, isn't it?
