I've mentioned before that I can no longer digest coffee, onions or chocolate. In fact, expensive chocolate is fine, but cheap chocolate isn't because of the additives. Onions and garlic are sometimes ok and sometimes (usually) not. Coffee, though, seems to be a big no-no. Every time I drink coffee, I regret it. Iced coffee usually has a minimal effect; hot coffee of any sort, though, makes me ill, as I remembered this weekend after having drunk a large, milky coffee on Saturday morning. By the evening, I felt really unwell, and this lasted throughout Sunday. After having had a fairly major worry about the reason behind my gastric indisposition, I suddenly realised that the same thing happened when I drank a similar concoction while on my travels. So, a firm reminder to myself: don't drink coffee unless you don't mind the consequences!
