Having been diagnosed with cancer and told I needed radiotherapy, I was unable to find much useful information about the treatment from a patient's perspective. This blog is a record of my own experience, a real description of being a cancer patient requiring radiotherapy, as well as an account of recovery and the after-effects of illness. As time goes on, my dealings with the health system in general may also be mentioned, as long as I continue to be clear of cancer.

And another busy day
Another Saturday morning change0ver day: three loads of washing, three loads of drying. Wiping, scrubbing, polishing, vacuuming, mopping, changing towels and bedding and gardening. And shopping to ensure that the welcome pack contains tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, butter, cake, an individual chocolate for each guest and a copy of the local newspaper. Even th0ugh a friend helps me, it's a lot to do in four hours. I couldn't have done this last year when I decided to run a holiday cottage business; I must have been fairly confident that I'd be fit again this year, mustn't I?
