March again. I just looked at my calendar for last March, imagining that I would have kept a record of trips to the radiotherapy department, and I find that from the day I had surgery in December 2006 until the middle of April 2007, there were no entries at all. How interesting. I hadn't realised that I had imposed a 'news blackout' on my own diary! Perhaps this was because I was blogging about the events, or perhaps I simply didn't want to think about it. I have to say that even though I enter my check-up dates in my calendar now, I try to make sure that the rest of the days are so full of events that I don't see the appointment until the week it's due!
I wonder if it's just me, or whether there's a general tendency to avoid thinking about things that worry or upset us?
