Coming up for air

Finally, I finished the contract I've been working on. And now I get paid (I hope).

You'd think I might have a bit more time to blog now, wouldn't you? Not so. Another pile of work has arrived - unpaid this time, but good research kudos...

One good thing about working so hard is that there's no time to worry about my health. Funnily enough, not a twinge or wince since I've been doing 12 - 15 hour days. It'll be interesting to see if I start noticing new aches and pains now my mind isn't quite so occupied elsewhere.

Of course, the lesson might be that if you keep your mind busy, you don't have time to worry you might be ill when you're quite clearly fine! But, as I keep saying, you do become very conscious of even the teensiest discomfort or unusual physical reactions after you've had radiotherapy, not to mention the elephant in the room (yes, I do mean... cancer)
