This has to stop!

I seem to be ridiculously energetic these days! This morning, I decided to put together my bird feeding station - which took a bit of doing; it's very fiddly, getting various types of bird food into different types of container. And as for driving the pole for hanging them on into the ground - luckily, it's been raining, so the earth wasn't frozen. I hope I've shoved it in with sufficient force as the dogs will make themselves ill on bird food (they love the fat balls) if it falls over. Fortunately, one dog had dug a hole in the flower bed the other day - bad dog! - so I used that as a basis for planting the bird feeding station deep into the earth that he'd turned over for me.

After that, I decided to take the dogs for a walk. After we'd done our usual route - around 30 minutes - I decided that it was such a nice day that we'd go for a walk up one of the lanes past the fields, something we don't often do for fear of meeting uncontrolled dogs on our way. I'm not convinced the dogs enjoyed the 30 extra minutes - indeed, they began to grumble about half way round the second route - but I did!

Returning home, I was about to head off to do my warehouse club discount shopping when I decided that my floors were so mucky that I really had to do something about them. So, that resulted in 30 minutes of throwing the vacuum cleaner around with excessive zeal, after which I felt extremely virtuous.

So, today I seem to have been involved in three energetic activities - four if you count the warehouse club, particularly since this involved heaving 15 kg of dogfood around. It's a bit of a worry, all this exercise! What has come over me...
