I was planning to take a nice walk to a café this morning to meet a friend. Unfortunately, the friend in question has an awful cold and decided to pick me up from my house and drive as she didn't feel well enough to walk. I need to go back to the village later today, but I'm going to have to take the car so that I can pick up bags and bags and bags of rubbish to take to the municipal dump. Renovating a house does generate a huge amount of junk! So, no walk then, either. At least I'll be able to get a bit of exercise tomorrow when I go to meet the chimney sweep at the renovation (though I should take the car in order to collect more rubbish).
My friend really did have a nasty cold when she arrived. Of course, now I'm home, I'm feeling as though I may have caught it! I can't have done, I know - or at least it wouldn't be showing up by now. So, it's one of those 'mind over matter' occasions when I tell myself, very severely, that there is no chance of having a new cold. Hopefully, that will stop my sore throat before it develops further!
