Today has been one of those days where I've experienced that, "Oh no, is this a side effect of radiation therapy or something more serious?" feeling. I've been gripped by abdominal pain since I woke up and, indeed, I didn't sleep well either.
Of course, thinking about it, I know the cause. I've now defined another food I can't eat any longer - this time, it's coconut. As I wrapped my teeth around some fresh coconut last night, I remember thinking, "Hmm, last time I ate this I had horrible indigestion and abdominal pain. I wonder if it was a one off." Obviously not.
It's another demonstration of how having been through radiotherapy can colour your judgement about events, making you leap to the worst possible conclusion. It's also an illustration of the fact that it's always the things you like to eat that disagree with you!
