A week later

I've been home a week now. It seems longer. Indeed, it seems I was never away, though I have the photos to prove I was!

A clue: it isn't Newcastle upon Tyne, though the bridge there is identical in every way apart from its size.

Things don't change when you go away. Everything's the same when you come home. The Abbey was full of tourists today, as I suspected. Interestingly, most of them were locals, all having a look at the building. Perhaps this was because a TV programmes (in fact 3 TV programmes) are being recorded there next week. There are even free tickets to attend and take part in the church services that will be recorded. Am I going? No, of course not! Three hours of repeating the same hymn over and over again? I don't think so! I'm going to stay at home and ensure my cough improves before I have some major dental work done at the end of the week.

Well, at least I know that I don't need to take antibiotics before I visit the dentist (unless my cold gets worse, of course). Those regular hospital check-ups may be unpleasant, but they do allow me to ask questions in person rather than trying to track down the right person on the phone (an impossible task!)
