First day back guiding tourists today. I wonder how cold it'll be in that abbey... I wonder how many tourists may appear - it is school holiday at the moment, so it might be busy.
I spent quite a lot of time while I was away watching tourist guides and how they operate. The most effective were those who provided more than the dates and times of events; a story about the people, places and items involved adds interest and makes for a much more engaging experience.
Must remember to take my cough sweets with me!
