Some time ago, I wrote about the effect of radiation on body hair. What they don't tell you, I said, is that although you may not lose your head hair if treatment isn't centred on your head, you will lose any body hair in the irradiated area.
I also said, I believe, that when I queried this at the hospital, I was told that any body hair lost was unlikely to regrow. As medical personnel tell me, "Everyone's different", so perhaps I'm an exception (I doubt it, somehow), but it seems that the radiation effect is not quite as drastic as I had been led to believe. In fact, what I was told is totally not true! It takes a while, but your hair does grow back.
