I've always found it difficult to sleep the night before I go anywhere, but last night really was one of the worst I've had. I don't feel concerned about the long drive ahead; I've done it often enough. However, I haven't done it since before my diagnosis, so it must be five or six months ago that I last drove as far as this, and although I don't feel anxious, judging by the sleeplessness, headache and nausea I'm experiencing, I must be.
Well, I hope it's not going to be like this every time I go on a journey from now on. Perhaps it'll be better once I've been through my first check-up (2.5 weeks to go, and I'm not looking forward to it).

Hi Leslie
That first check up is only going to out your mind at rest that everything is OK - I know there are no guarantees and that little "what if ..." voice in the back of your mind can be very persistent but YOU ARE GOING TO BE FINE!
