The letter from the hospital arrived this morning, discharging me completely. I finally believe that I don't have to go back next year! Now, I'm going to think of a way to celebrate that will raise some funds for cancer research charities. It has been horrible, but I've been very, very lucky.
I've learned to recognise the importance of living for the moment and not worrying too much about the future - it may never come! I've learned not to be afraid of cancer and that it's ok to talk about it; in fact, we must talk about it and embrace an open approach to discussing our experiences. Finally, I've learned the importance of good friends and having a positive attitude.
In fact, I may have turned into Pollyanna!

Hoooray!! I'm certainly glad it's all over and you're still here! Lots of love, Agnes.
Lesley - Go for it! And keep on going for it.
I'm sure you have come across the inspiring speeches of Carnegie Mellon Professor Randy Pausch but just in case you haven't I encourage you to consider having a listen.
Thank you for sharing your story.
All the best,
Helena
