Charities

I'd forgotten that the Cancer Research UK representative who collected the money I raised last year mentioned to me that they might have a Relay for Life in my local area this year. I'd contacted friends who said they'd join my team if the relay took place, and the Cancer Research UK representative said she'd let me know.

Yesterday, someone asked me what was happening about this. I've heard nothing, and it's almost a year after this was mentioned to me. If charities want people to help them, why don't they keep us informed? I would be more than happy to organise a team for a twenty-four hour relay, but suspect it isn't going to happen as there's a Race for Life only few kilometres away very soon, but it would have been nice to be told.

So, anyone from Cancer Research UK who may read this post, please remember that we do want to make a contribution but that we also need to be kept informed. don't do racing anywhere for any purpose, but a relay would be great, and would bring in a lot of interest. Just keep us informed before we take our well-meaningness elsewhere!
