Sunshine, tennis and hayfever

Finally, the sun is shining again. The dogs and I are enjoying our walks, though I'm still outwalking my lazy, four-legged friends. This morning, we were only out for half an hour, but they've slept ever since, only perking up at the sound of their dinner being served!

Well, I confess that I had a brief snooze, too, though only because the furry little angels decided to get up as the sun rose and the dawn chorus burst into its ear-splitting cacophony (rooks, crows, jackdaws and magpies at the moment).

I definitely don't regret deciding to work part time (apart from the financial implications). At this time of year, I can, should the fancy take me, watch wall-to-wall Wimbledon on TV without a single hint of guilt.

And the hayfever? Over the years, particularly the last ten or so, my appalling hayfever has diminished to the point that it hardly exists any more. So, when I get even the slightest twinge of an itchy eye or sneezing these days I feel very sorry for myself. Today, my eyes are itching...

It is so nice to be able to complain about a minor health issue... it's good to feel carefree enough to be able to moan about such a tiny annoyance!
