Walking and not walking

I've been feeling a bit guilty for the last couple of weeks. I haven't been walking as often as I should. The daily walk has become 'every other day or maybe every two days'. My excuse is that the weather has been awful and I have to take a lot of equipment with me when I go to the cottage, which requires the car.

However, for the last few days, I've been not only walking but also doing a lot of heavy gardening. Yesterday, for instance, I even took a walk and spent almost three hours gardening. Today, I had to wait in for a delivery, but I did spend a couple of hours digging, weeding, hoeing and pruning as well as hanging the laundry outside to dry for the first time this year. I certainly sleep better when I've been walking / gardening. Just as well - now that the cottage is booked through until the end of August, I won't have access to the parking permit. Perhaps this will encourage me to walk rather than pay huge parking charges!

It's very interesting how easy it is to fall into bad habits again.
