Having been diagnosed with cancer and told I needed radiotherapy, I was unable to find much useful information about the treatment from a patient's perspective. This blog is a record of my own experience, a real description of being a cancer patient requiring radiotherapy, as well as an account of recovery and the after-effects of illness. As time goes on, my dealings with the health system in general may also be mentioned, as long as I continue to be clear of cancer.

Ir's not right!
I had to get up at 05.30 today. Now, that's only half an hour or so before my normal time, but... I imagined that by midday, I would be falling asleep, particularly since my morning was spent rushing to get the train (which I caught with one minute to go!), hurtling through another city to an interview, being interviewed, travelling home... I was back marking assignments by 15.00. I finished the last one at 21.30 and went to the supermarket in search of food (and the supermarket is a 10 minute drive away). I should be exhausted. I would have been a year ago. I'm not today. It's not right!
