Well, in the last two days, three people have said how well I look / what good form I'm on. I'm never sure whether or not that means I've been looking dreadful (particularly worrying when I've been feeling really well)!
Other than that, today has been a successful day. I've organised the catering for the 50th birthday party / fundraiser for Cancer Research UK and addressed all the concerns the inspector had about the holiday cottage - apart from the fact that he wanted me to have bedside rugs and I really don't want to do that; trip hazard, slip hazard and very unhygienic, it being impractical to wash and dry them every week, particularly with guests leaving at 10:00 and arriving at 15:00! However, at least I now have six egg cups!
A burst of energy overcame me this morning; not only did I sort out the catering and the cottage, I also called the caretaker for the parish hall and arranged to borrow some chairs and tables for the party. Goodness me! Such enthusiasm.
Tomorrow, I'm seeing my oldest friend for the first time in more than 20 years. Milestone birthdays lead to renewed acquaintance. It seems like forever since we last met. I wonder if she'll tell me that I look well?! And will I tell her the same??
