Silence...

Yes, I know I've been quiet for a few days. In a way, that's a good thing - I've been incredibly busy, so not thinking about cancer or illness or anything of that nature.

This morning, yet again, though, it came home to me how much my life has changed in the last few months - I had to go to the development project to ensure a delivery could be left there; at just after 7 am, I got a phone call (bringing back memories of emergency dashes to the hospital with my mother when she was ill, so I was a bit stressed out when I picked up the receiver today!) to tell me that the delivery was on its way. Sadly, I'd forgotten it was coming, so I had to wash and dress very fast indeed, then feed the dogs and let them out before racing to the other house. I couldn't have done that last year. The year before that, even getting out of bed would have been a major undertaking.

That's why I'm now organising a fundraiser for Cancer Research UK; my life has been transformed by the treatment I received, and I want to give something back now.
