Bouncing back

It doesn't take long to recover from overdoing things now. A year ago, it would have taken a week or more to start to feel even marginally better after a busy day. Now, though I do get more tired than I did before my cancer and treatment, twenty-four hours usually sorts things out. And, of course, this may be due to the ageing process rather than the last twelve months. I've said it before, but it really is terribly easy to jump to the conclusion that all my aches, pains, tiredness etc. are due to recent events; in fact, they're more likely to be the result of getting older!

It's too easy to think, "I've had cancer" and that everything must be related to that, I find. So, my thought for today is, "Before blaming illness and / or radiation, think about other possible causes - like the fact you're not as young as you were!"
