For some reason, for the last few weeks - apart from when I've been away from home - I haven't been walking as much as I did during my immediate recovery. Why not? I don't know! As my cold has improved, however, I have started walking again. Indeed, by yesterday afternoon, I realised that I needed to get outside and do some walking. Who knows, I may even get the walking poles out again in the next couple of days - the iPod is already back on duty; it's amazing how much ground you can cover while listening to an audiobook.
If you're intending to take exercise by walking, then, I would thoroughly recommend getting an MP3 player of some sort and downloading some "recorded speech", whether this be podcasts or audiobooks. Music works too, of course, but I find listening to books, plays, poetry, podcasts much more rewarding - and it takes my mind off how far I've walked!
So, finally, my health seems to be on the way up again. Hooray!
