Reflection

When I finished my course of radiotherapy, I was told that I would need to attend follow-up clinics for the next 5 years as follows:

Years 1 - 2: every 3 months
Years 3- 4 - every 6 months
Year 5 - 12 months after the last check-up

Today, I should have gone for my second 3 monthly check-up (my third post-therapy check-up, the first being 6 weeks after the end of treatment). However, at my last hospital visit, I was told I didn't need to go back until January 2008. I cannot begin to describe how wonderful it is not to have to attend the clinic today!
