If I'd thought things through properly before starting to travel, I would have ensured that I had sufficient time to pursue my intention of taking a three day drive down the coast of Australia. Now, that would have been a real test of my recovery! Sadly, I don't have sufficient time this visit, but I've managed to arrange quite an extensive tour over the next 10 days, involving several flights, bus journeys and different locations, visiting friends and relatives, which will be lovely. And, just to make sure so much fun doesn't make my brain turn to mush, I'm also giving a presentation at the University of Melbourne. I can't remember having stood up in front of an audience since I became ill last year, so this will certainly be a test of my recovery, stamina and nerve!
Meanwhile, I'm finding the growing heat and humidity very tiring, though the surroundings and - particularly - the company are delightful and a great joy to me. Is the exhaustion a result of recovery being slow, or could it just be that humidity is, for me, very tiring? I rather suspect the latter.
