Health and good fortune

There must, I think, be some link between health and good fortune. At least, if my own case is anything to go by there has to be a relationship of some sort. Or maybe luck runs in cycles?

I'm rapidly approaching the end of a seven-year series of appalling life events, starting with marriage breakdown, divorce and an unwanted house move. Soon after that - within a year - I had an ailing, much-loved parent requiring constant attention; over the next four years, there were numerous visits to the Accident and Emergency Department of the local hospital and finally to the Intensive Care Unit where death came slowly and with a huge lack of dignity that must have caused terrible suffering for a woman who was always so bright and well-groomed in life. Another, desired, house move came next, accompanied by increasing ill-health and the need to stop working as a result. Finally, cancer, radiotherapy and recovery.

Since the improvement in my health, even more noticeable in the last month or so, I've been asked to take on or bid for several interesting contracts.

So, what is the cause of this change in circumstances? The end of the seven-year cycle? Or are the job offers related to my improved health? Consider and discuss.
