Weekends

A peaceful weekend, making the most of the sunshine. I've walked a lot, sorted out the bird tables in my garden and walked some more. Over the next few weeks, weekends are going to become oases where I can escape the daily journey to the city, so I intend to do as much as I'm able to during those 48 hours of calm.

Tomorrow, it's back to the hospital. This time, the appointment's mid-morning, so at least I'll avoid the rush hour. It seems there's to be a weekly x-ray, and that Mondays are when that will happen. That means the time at the hospital will be slightly longer than the 10 minutes required to arrange me on the bed, zap me and send me home again.

I must leave myself a note to remind me to choose some music to take with me. Most people I know who've had radiotherapy have told me that the time in treatment is so short that they haven't bothered to take their own music with them, and have just listened to what the hospital offers. I must be particularly picky about music, since I really need to take something of my own with me, partly to take control of the situation to some extent, but mainly because I really cannot bear the music provided!

Now, what shall I choose...
