Side effects? Part 2

From what was said by the radiographers today, I have my suspicions that someone from the medical team is reading this blog!

The radiotherapy session today was uneventful. My legs have more or less stopped aching now; I only have the occasional twinge. Medical opinion seems to be divided about whether this was a result of the treatment or not. I'm inclined to think it was, since I know of others who've experienced the same discomfort.

The extreme tiredness I felt after the first three sessions has also diminished. I wonder if it it'll return in a couple of weeks' time?

I do worry rather about what is to come; everyone keeps telling me that I'm likely to suffer from cystitis and diarrhoea (sorry, to those of a nervous disposition, but I did say that I'd report exactly what happens when you're undergoing external pelvic radiotherapy!) So far, nothing, but I'm sure that if I'm told often enough that I'll have these side effects, they'll happen! I wonder if forewarned really is forearmed in this case - or would it be better not to mention it more than once, in case it never happens?

Seventeen more sessions... and counting...
